Privacy policy
Hydsight Pty Ltd ("Hydsight", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
We collect personal information you give us, such as your name, company, job title, phone number and email address, when you contact us, request a quote or use the Hydsight portal. Messages sent through our website form are delivered to us by a third-party form service (Web3Forms). Portal users' login details and usage logs are collected to provide and secure the service.
How we use it
- To respond to enquiries and prepare quotes
- To provide, support and improve our services and the Hydsight portal, including sending alerts and reports you have set up
- To keep our systems secure
- To meet legal obligations
We don't sell your personal information. We only disclose it to service providers who help us run our business (for example hosting, email and SMS delivery), or where the law requires it.
Website data
Like most websites, our site may record technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, and may use cookies for basic analytics. You can turn off cookies in your browser.
Spam protection (hCaptcha)
Our quote and contact form uses hCaptcha, a service provided by Intuition Machines, Inc., to check that messages are sent by a person and not an automated program. When you use the form, hCaptcha may collect information such as your IP address, browser and device details, and how you interact with the check, and may set cookies. This information goes to hCaptcha and is handled under the hCaptcha Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. hCaptcha is provided through our form service, Web3Forms. hCaptcha's servers may be located outside Australia.
Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Some service providers may store data outside Australia.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or make a privacy complaint, by sending us a message through the contact form or calling 1300 163 426. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au.
